The passion to excel
For Damin, excellence is a way of life. Although basketball has always been his primary passion, Damin has also achieved at the highest levels in business. Armed with his business degree from Pepperdine, Damin took the full service advertising company, Grupo Ñ Advertising, from a start-up to $3.5 million in billing. As President and Managing Partner, he developed in just 4 ½ years a client list including major local and national clients such as Coca Cola, The Arizona Lottery, Bank of America and the City of Tempe. In charge of client relations, new business development and company growth management, Damin applied his superior leadership to in fulfilling:
- Budget oversight and management
- Strategic planning of marketing, advertising and public relations
– including event marketing and promotions - Media planning and purchasing
- Fundraising and political relationship development
- Employee relations, and financial management
From there he served as Vice President of Operations for Julio Cesar Chavez Enterprises, a real estate and product development company. In 3 years he built the company from a zero revenue start-up to owning over $4.5 million in assets. It's this same passion to excel that makes Damin such an outstanding candidate for a Head Coach position at the collegiate level.
